ADVERBS

Adverbs describe verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. They describe how, how often, where, when, and to what degree something happens.

FOR EXAMPLE:

                  1) The turtle is crawling through the grass very slowly.
("Slowly" describes how the turtle crawls. "Crawl" is a verb.)

                  2)She waters the plant frequently.
("frequently" describes how often she waters the plant.

                3) He's usually late to work.
("Usually" is an adverb of frequency that describes an adjective--'             late')
